1) his dying now would provide great bizz buzzy fodder for lazy, cowardly journalists to do something of a Dick Cheney's greatest hits, without actually hitting.

2) kharma. I don't like it when opponents call for the death of someone I admire / support. It kind of doesn't matter that I don't admire torturer chicken-shits.

3) I would much rather have Dick Cheney around to somehow magically face charges for torture. Maybe Europe will step in and Hague his blobby old ass, should Cheney ever leave his undisclosed bunker. Our pathetic country won't.
