Someone was pointing out that this made the movie unforgettable to the viewers. I love that crazy purple lady inadvertently satirized the "it's so inspirational" theme so many nominees and winners were pushing.
2
That crazy lady is Elinor Burkett...an early pioneer in AIDS reporting.

People should protest this film in large groups when it comes out, to increase film attendance.

The more protest the better.

She isn't a Kanye...she also won the Oscar for that film as its producer. She had every right to be up there and to be incoherent.

What a great story.

What I got out of this was that she is a crazy control freak, who was axed from the project over a year ago- When a technicality kept her on as a producer in the nomination process, she decided to leech on for all it was worth. In any case, it's a straight up d-bag move to swoop in and screw the director out of his time in the spotlight, even if you were at one time involved.

I read the whole story at Salon - she says he'd never even heard of Zimbabwe until she'd told him about it.....yeeeeaaaahhh.....right.....
9
Marvelous and energy.

Uh.. she knows how to come across as a megaBITCH in front of 3 billion people.

Please wait...
