Yeah, but, the thing is this, Ken: He didn't call you. You can strut around the block acting as though you're the only one who deserves it and that you're the only one who can bring America back to the enlightened times of the antebellum 1800s, but they didn't pick you. And you probably weren't even on their shortlist.
And besides, you and everyone else at FotF knows the one fundamental fact of the matter: token minorities don't get to be leader. You lack any sway over policy, hold no advisory positions and are little-known outside of arenas where an exploitable patsy can be bandied about as proof of whatever odious point Christianists want to make in order to further subjugate people of color.
OMG. Yes, after reading that, I am struck by how infused with the perfection of all that is holy this man is. "They should've given it to me but I would've turned it down. He will do with it what He pleases but I think it's wrong. When He calls me I will do what He wants, right or wrong." Wouldn't it automatically be right since HE is telling you to do it? Or isn't that, as a religious fanatic, how you're supposed to think?
It would be one thing if Christian leaders had someone who could at least form a logically coherent sentence. It's altogether another thing that they're all a bunch of raving lunatics.
@ 8 - Yeah. Reading this, I re-cast it in my mind's ear (?) to be coming out of the mouth of a rabid Jihadist... just begging to be 'useful' to his 'god', regardless of what 'the world thinks'..
And guess what? No difference. No difference a'tall.
Wouldn't doing God's will always be right? By stating that you'll do "God's Will", right or wrong, Hutcherson implies the knowledge that Hutcherson will do what Hutcherson thinks is right, even when he knows it's wrong. Wrong by God's standards. Or that there is no God, and he's just a power hungry sociopath using others for a path to power and influence.
Um... I am hearing a lot of ego in his statement. Sure, there is an attempt to portray the "humble servant", but it doesn't come across sincere at all. It comes across as scary, and like he is easily fooled with the "When He calls me I will do what He wants, right or wrong." bit.
@20 & 21: I agree. All the snarky quips that came to mind were already covered before I could post them, and a few made me laugh. This is why I always read the comments.
ken is awesome and we need a lot more men...Christian men like him. Folks, grow up and hav a spine. We Christians have become chumps to society...including me. I'm so glad that the original disciples weren't as wimpy as you and I. Christians stop making excuses.

So stop wasting your breath.
But talk about the pride and he shall burn in hell for that ego and pride!!!
God always favors the megalomaniac.
Man, he is infusing the fuck out of culture with God's righteousness, I tell you what.

That actually shot a chill down my spine.
And guess what? No difference. No difference a'tall.
It doesn't matter what the world thinks, it is your duty to infuse it with god's righteousness! KA-BOOM!
