Whiffies didn't actually show up. Boo.

Next time they do this, they should serve beer or stage it late enough that we can all get drunk first. Then it would have been no trouble to justify going for a chocolate hazelnut shake to wash down the poutine.

Is it worth mentioning that when I got there around 12:00, the line of people at Marination Mobile was way longer than the line of people waiting to buy Mariners tickets across the street?

And damn, those lines WERE long! I just hit the Thai cart, simply because it was the only truck (well, with the exception of Top Pot and that sandwich truck next to it) that din't have lines that looked like it would take you an hour to get something to eat.

Seriously, if that many people are going to show up, the organizers need to double or even triple the number of participants. Otherwise, people are going to, at best, only sample a couple of menus before their afternoon is shot.

I counted 250+ folks in one of those lines before i high-tailed it to King's Hardware for fried goodness without the wait. you people are awfully patient.

The only thing worth waiting for in a line that long is a free pony, and i didn't see any of those.

Obviously there is a demand for this sort of stuff. The lines were ridiculous and after attend the last chowdown in interbay to wait an hr for a taco rice and beans I refuse to do that again. We arrived at saefco around 1230 and prmoptly left for tacos at el farolito. This mobile food cart should just happen all the time.

i very much agree with @2-4 - we went (admittedly late in the game, around 2:00, and it was scheduled to end at 3:00), and the number of vendors who 1 - had anything left and 2 - didn't have a line to kingdom come were very few in number.

i support the idea of having MORE vendors, as well as perhaps having the vendors go in collectively on a large refrigerator truck or whatever would allow them to bring more product/stock so they don't run out so much before the advertised ending time.

at the last one (in interbay) i thought the live music was way too loud for trying to chat with friends while in line and eating - the dj at this one was at a much more chat-friendly level.

hopefully for the next MC the weather will cooperate a bit more.
