Oh, that's what that thing was. I just graduated from OSU and I had no clue wtf that exhibit was supposed to be about. The big posters made it look like gay football or something.

This sounds like a very interesting exhibit exploring the intersection of sports, masculinity and race. The photo of the athlete who branded himself with the Nike logo is a brilliant commentary on how sports and athletes are commodities in our culture.

The marketing for the show is very smart -- anyone presenting a ticket from a current season OSU sporting event gets a two-for-one admission. They also have discussions with famous OSU athletes at the gallery.

A thought-provoking show with mass appeal -- do you think a local gallery would consider bringing this to Seattle?

Saw it at LACMA a year or two back. Yeah, still a few images that stick with me and not just for the pretty visuals.
