Love it. I should stay home sick more often.

Part II: Koko Smash
3
that actually made me a little depressed.
4
@2 LOL!

This didn't cheer me up, because I remember poor All Ball. From Wikipedia:

"In December of that same year, All Ball escaped from Koko's cage and was hit and killed by a car. Later, Patterson claimed that when she signed to Koko that All Ball had gone, Koko signed “Bad, sad-bad” and “Frown cry-frown sad.” Patterson also reported later hearing Koko making a sound akin to human weeping."

And at 2:15 of the video, Koko ate the kitten.
7
@5 I remember that too. *tear*
8
@2 and 6,

You beat me to it. Seeing this reminds me of the fate of the puppy in Of Mice and Men.
9
@8-- It was a rabbit, but, yeah, I was thinking the same thing. For some reason, the whole scene made me nervous.
10
@9,

I'm pretty sure it was a puppy, but it was Lennie's and George's dream to own a rabbit farm, I think.
12
Actually, Candy's dog wasn't a puppy either, but full-grown.

And that did give me a bit of a pick-up; it's been one of those kind of weeks...
13
@12 One of those kind of weeks? It's only Monday :( Hope it gets better.

Virtual hug, Comte. I hope the week improves, quickly.
16
strong wild animal + weak domestic animal = bad. stop it.
17
@16 - Koko's pretty mild - heck, she knows quite a bit of sign language. And she's had pets before and been good with them.
18
Man, Koko's put on some weight! I bet most of the signs she knows have to do with food, and how to ask for it.

Please wait...
