well, actually, it's more of a centrist view at Drinking Liberally.
most Americans don't realize that the Supreme Court is stacked with ultra-right "justices" - to the point where they describe the center-right appointment by President Ford (GOP) as being "liberal" even though he has mostly drifted further right thru his career on the Supreme Court.
So maybe it should be described as the centrist Drinking Liberally.
@1, I somehow doubt there are very many Ford-era Supreme Court justices quaffing brewskis down at the Montlake Ale House. Actually, if you're there, I find it hard to imagine how there could be anyone else at all.
That Washington Federal branch is absolutely charming, despite that terrible photo. Typical. Will there be anything left of Ballard by the time they're finished?
@5, I did. It had a certain charm. I'm not sure what it's got now -- it's still an interesting place. But it's losing something too. This here is a nice building that's not hurting anybody.
That old thing is ugly and that facade is sooty and dirty. The new building design is ugly too. Ballard is ugly and has always been ugly. Either way, the bank fits right in.

Couldn't agree more. Lifeless design to add a mere 2000 sq foot gain.
