Wow. Is the whole thing in Latin? Other than the illustration, that page is a dead ringer for a medieval manuscript. Nice minims, Jung!

Ah, I see that most of it is in German, thanks to the Rubin Museum site.

I pre-ordered right when I heard about it! I have mine sitting up high on a shelf and covered. I heard about the Red book when I was a teen but never thought in a million years I'd have my hands on one. Great literature post Jen! I love your entries.

It's in German and the other half is an English translation. The thing is HUGE and puuuuurtty.

That first page shown above is definitely Latin, though. "Nolite audire verba prophetarum qui prophetant vobis et decipiunt vos" which I think translates to something like "Do not listen to the words of the prophets who prophesize to you (pl.) and deceive you."
