CHARLES. NSFW.

Thank you.

Is there a breakdown of when they were doing this? While work provided laptops aren't really for porn, or personal shit at all, its one thing if it took place at 9pm and another if it was at 9am.
3
Could have been her husband.
4
No.

You don't use your government computer to look up porn sites or for any personal use.

And do you want SEC enforcement work and finance data floating around on laptaps people take home and lose on the Metro?

WTF?

"dear authors of 'porn for women'.... in my porn, people fuck."
6
Dunno about real porn, but a lot of women love cartoon porn.
7
As a porn-watching woman, I register my dismay at all people everywhere who assume women don't watch porn.

That said, with those kinds of numbers it's likely the laptop was infested with something that automatically accesses/downloads porn, which I've seen a couple of times at my help desk. And yeah, I'd still say that if the employee was a guy.
8
@5, thank you! Came to the comments specifically to post that, so glad you already did.
9
YES. REAL WOMEN WATCH REAL PORN.

This vacuum picture pisses me off.
10
Yea yea yea. We like sex, too.

7/SeaExile: As a porn-watching woman, I register my dismay at all people everywhere who assume women don't watch porn.

I doubt there are many people who think that "women don't watch porn." Rather, what people likely think -- and what is almost certainly true -- is that women don't watch porn to the degree that men do. Furthermore, I would bet that the types of porn men and women watch are different. I would bet that men tend to watch porn that is much more hardcore and kinky.
12
@9 Me too. That pic makes me feel stabby.
13
10/subwlf: Yea yea yea. We like sex, too.

Of course women like sex. Women love sex. But, in general, do women love sex as much as men do? I believe they don't. I believe that sex is more important to men and, that men want it more than women do, and that men think about it more than women do.

This doesn't mean that there aren't women who love sex more than men. Of course there are. Just like there are some women who are over 6 feet tall and some men who are under 5'8". But exceptions to a rule don't disprove the rule and the fact is that, in general, men are taller than women (and, I believe, love sex more than women.)
14
@5: Exactly. Nothing further needs to be said.
15
"A woman" working for the SEC is not "women".

Just because you can find one Slog commenter who is fat and slovenly doesn't disprove the thesis that Slog commenters are mostly scintillating and beautiful.

My Finacee used to be with one of the guys in porn for women. The best part? He never did any house work.

@ 7, 9, 12: Care to share some recommendations for good porn/erotica that appeals to women?
18
More and more over the years female friends have opened up about enjoying porn. I think this is happening more, but us guys have been more used to female friends, girlfriends, acquaintances fuming mad about the mere existence of porn, strip clubs, etc. Because, many of them say, it disparages women. To which I've always thought, really? disparaging? If anything I think it has us more enamored with women. Guys are going to have a sexual appetite no matter what ok?
I now suspect that some women are pissed about pornography because it provides an alternative sexual experience for guys, without needing to depend on actual women for sex. It's this loss of control, I think, that really bothers them. Either that or jealousy?

Backing up here, I think guys are surprised of any news of women enjoying porn, because we're so used to women demonizing it in the past.

Their main complaint has typically been that porn "objectifies" women. The flaw in their reasoning, however, is assuming that because men like looking at pictures and videos of naked women, or women fucking, that men are incapable of viewing women as human beings with thoughts and emotions.
20
@18
I know I'm personally pro-porn, I look at the stuff myself and I acknowledge that men will always look at it. However, I'm 21 and I can actually see how widely available, hard-core pornography has warped the men of my generation. They have no concept of realist sex or realistic expectations from women. I know other women my age feel the same way and that's their biggest reason for disliking it.
21
@20: Granted, but I think a lot of women also realize that there are plenty of men out there who "rise above" the fantasy and have healthy ideas of what real sex is like.

I'm one of those women, so I don't really dislike porn -- I dislike people who can't use it right.

@18: My advice is, try talking to more women ... and not just women who know the women *you* already know, because they'll probably share the same views.

Frankly, I suspect many women who don't like porn aren't really sure themselves why -- perhaps just an innate distaste for it that simply can't be explained -- or don't want to say they're just jealous, so they cover up with political explanations that are more socially acceptable.
22
@19

I totally objectify men the in the porn I watch. Oops, that's right, sorry, I'm a woman, so I don't watch porn.
Such bullshit. We watch porn, ok? Women often seem to be insecure in general so they won't admit what they do, yet they'll also feel threatened by their men watching porn at the same time. "You think the porn actress is prettier than me! You think I'm fat too, don't you, honey!!" I honestly have no idea how straight men put up with annoying bitches like this & there's A LOT of 'em out there. That vagina must reeeeeally be worth it for you, guys.
23
19/Confluence, people do objectify people in the porn they watch. But anti-porn women claim (or assume) that, in turn, leads men to objectify all women in everyday life, that it renders men incapable of seeing women as full human beings. And I've always thought that argument was rubbish.

Oops, that's right, sorry, I'm a woman, so I don't watch porn. Such bullshit. We watch porn, ok?

I don't know why you and other women set up this straw man: people who feel that no women watch porn. As I said above, I think there are very few (if any) people who believe this. I think what most people believe is that women don't watch porn to the degree that men do and I'm sure any study or survey would prove that correct.
24
@23 You're wrong. Women watching porn is surprising to most people.
25
@17 - I would suggest some, but apparently what I like is out of the ordinary for women, 'cause according to Roma (esp @11) more kinky/hardcore stuff is generally more appreciated by guys (enough weasel-worded strawman-avoidance in there for you, Roma?). So I'll be keeping my unusual collection of by-women-for-women bondage porn links to myself.
26
BTW, I still maintain that the male/female divide on how much people like sex or (like watching sex) is a social thing, not a biological one - that is, the curves from "don't care" to "rabidly horny all the time" look about the same across people, but women aren't supposed to like sex as much as guys ... so it doesn't look like we do.

Which is why the "porn for women" thing is so. dang. infuriating.
27
24, that might be because it's not that common for women to watch porn, not because these people think that no women watch it.
