I don't see the need to weed dandelions from public parks. They're kinda pretty, no?

I agree with @1 ... the environmental thing to do is *not* have more perfect lawns. One of my professors was just holding forth on how dandelions are the perfect floral emblem for the (ultra-hippy, alternative) college - they're hardy, annoying, have about seven genders, make perfect salads and great bathtub wine.

Removing dandelions by hand is not bad for the environment. And dandelions are pretty when they're fresh and new, but they ultimately make any lawn look like shit in the long run.
