And now we see if and where the rubber meets the road.

Mayor McGinn, Council, Mr. Nellams: Thank you.

May the best whatever or museum win.

Let me see.

Giant trampolines from Costco.

Grass seed from Home Depot.

Plug-in electric lawnmowers from Home Depot.

... hmm, say a budget of $10,000?

Why does our park space have to generate revenue? I kind of thought the idea behind parks is that they weren't strip malls or parking lots.

As a City we have invested years and millions creating these spaces, is it really worth it to make some money?

Will we cut down our trees next for the cash from lumber and pulp?

I am the Poobah, I speak for the neighborhoods.

@3 Seattle Center has to generate revenue because it has certain budgetary requirements for a lot of it's own upkeep. The replacement for the Fun Forest has to help cover that. It's not the same "cutting down our trees". We're not talking about clear cutting Carkeek, the Arboretum or Discovery Park here.

Joe you are brilliant. We totally need to monetize Carkeek, the Arboretum and Discovery Park. Whaddya think? Strip clubs and Casinos with huge parking lots?

Joni Mitchell be damned!
