Really? You don't have a problem with the inclusion of that "My Two Uncles" cover, where the only thing "creepy" about it is playing into a pretty vile kneejerk homophobic assumption that these uncles smiling at their nephew suggests pedophilia?

The book is a "Heather Has Two Mommies" style book about children with gay relative. What's "creepy" here is what the author of this article chooses to read into that image.
