I'm also glad Nixon is still dead.
2
Who?
3
Marni "Ghost Singer to the Stars" Nixon (mother of Andrew Gold, composer of the Golden Girls theme spoofed on SNL with Betty White).

Duh.

Unions are a joke. This would be like a used car salesman listing a 91 Pontiac for 20k, then saying "ok, ok, I'll take 15k. See? I'm saving you money."
5
Oh shit, she's not dead. Sorry, Marni! To atone, here's my favorite movie appearance of your voice, coming out of Natalie Wood:

Excellent review of current situation. Thanks for your analysis, I am gratified that the two parties recognize thee is a problem and will do what they must. I hope the Mayor can develop a way to have such amiacable relationships with those who who do not agree with his agenda. Could we be on the path to have a problem solving government rather than just constant advocacy?

In related news, workers in airlines and railways can now unionize with a straight majority vote.

There's a reason why unions exist.

...

Now, if you'll excuse me, have to go meet Tony down by the Docks ... badda bing.
8
OH NO! What if some union gets ahold of Southwest Airlines? We can kiss our cheap fares goodbye!

I am a big fan of organized labor, but the public sector unions are headed for trouble if they think they can maintain their current status without risking an Eyman initiative that will seriously impair their interests.

@7

Yeah.
To suck the life out of the industries they infect.

Steel.
Auto.
Airlines.
Newspaper....

Hery Dom!
We heard Susan is a Republican-
do you know anything about it?

(there surely would be a Pulitzer in it for the enterprizing young lad who exposes THAT....)

Please wait...
