No need to worry about those tighter regulations - I'm sure oil companies will be able to get around them in return for a few thousand bucks in campaign contributions. (Or they can take it to court on the grounds that it impedes their freedom of speech as individuals somehow...)

Didn't a judge recently rule those stop light cameras could not be used as evidence?

A Democrat lied about his service in Vietnam? Maybe he should run for President. He'd be in good company.

Minor news, yes, about insipid tv shows, but a good reminder ... "Mediocrity Exists, and It Will Try to Choke You to Death If You Give It Half a Chance". Why does anyone [with a brain] watch that stuff?!!

@4: It might be awful, but it's not as bad as 'Til Death.

You guys missed this story: an Alabama (surprise!) teacher got a talking to by the secret service because he used the assassination of President Obama as an example for a geometry lesson. By the way, he is NOT getting fired, which is ridiculous. I'm sure if a student said something similar he would be gone quickly.

Oh and this guy, now running as a Republican in MA for the House, was involved in several cases of strip searching TEENAGE girls. He was a police officer and was the supervisor of the cop who went to prison for the indecent assault. What a creep!
