It was responsible of them to condense that video to 1:05. You'd hate for younger men to only the first 2 steps of the process.

Damn. I'm a Kinsey 5.9, but that got my 0.1 all tingly.

Who the hell still has a phone like that? Lesbian EMTs I guess.

I love you, Vince.

@4 I assure you Lola, the feeling is mutual!

The girl on top has a wicked smile.

This is a good argument *against* hands only CPR.

Hey, I've got a phone like that ...

The stupid thing about this video is that it doesn't even teach proper CPR. Chest compressions cannot really be demonstrated on anything other than a dummy, since when you do them correctly, you stand the chance of breaking a rib or two in the victim. The compressions in the video are half-hearted and jerky and would not be sufficient to maintain the sort of minimal circulation that real CPR offers the brain.

Just so you know, don't bother with rescue breaths unless you really know what you're doing. It's better for laypeople to just use chest compressions. You'll get enough air circulation and you won't interrupt the blood flow.

When I took a CPR class a few years ago they told us that eventually the recommendation would be to only ever do hands-only. The compressions are the life-saving part, and giving breaths just takes time away from that. Also, I read somewhere that a good beat to do chest compressions to is the BeeGee's "Staying' Alive" (plus motivational lyrics FTW). Download it to your mp3 player of choice and save a life while rocking out.

The sudden expression at 0:49 had me suddenly snorting and guffawing. Oh yeah, and spittle all over my screen from that being an extra-scratchy snort of laughter. Even the second viewing was as funny as the first time.

The whole thing is brilliantly absurd and brilliantly stupid. Genius culture mash.
