Time to switch it up. He's got my vote.
2
I look forward to seeing Huckleberry Hound - I mean, Dino Rossi - lose another election.
3
i'm with jen but, man, i'm tired of looking at that peddler's smug little grin.
4
Will his new tips be any better than his last suggestion on getting rich off of people in foreclosure? Way to stand up for everyman, Dino!
5
dinorossi.com is still, at this moment, some kind of pitch to chip in to some kind of land deal. Still not too late, I guess.
6
Why, oh why, can't the WA state GOP ever field someone intelligent or ethical? Surely there must be a non-sleazeball/non-freakshow Republican out there.
7
dino and the collective GOP will commit seppuku tomorrow @ 7?

i can't wait! good riddance
8
How long until we can set up a Dino Rossi/Darcy Burner Super Bowl?

Does anyone remember the old "Spy" magazine. They had an article about Washington D.C.'s Stupidest politicians and Patty Murray was listed there as "Senator Stupid".
10

Murray's website hosted by Californians:

http://www.seattleweekly.com/2004-08-04/…

Weird, don’t you think? If not Federal law, why not Washington? As it turns out, Murray’s site is hosted by a California firm, Trilogy Interactive. Because, apparently, there’s not a single Washington firm good enough for Patty Murray. Stupid Washington yokels don’t know anything about that internet thingy. They might as well move to Alabama!

Road To The Middle Class implores Murray To Reform!

http://roadtothemiddleclass.blogspot.com…

"Yesterday, Senator, you voted against reform. You voted against cleaning up our financial mess. You voted for crony capitalism.

Yet The Wall Street Journal reports that no Democratic senators were to be seen as Sen. Chris Dodd (D-CT) led the debate against Sen. John McCain's amendment to reform Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the bankrupt government mortgage twins. And only two Democratic senators, Feingold and Bayh, voted for reform."

I was shocked to read in the comments on an article about Rossi in the Everett Herald that some of the republicans who read the paper actually won't vote for him because of his predatory get rich off other people's misery business practices.

These are quite possibly some of the most racist, bigoted, nasty folks around - hence my shock that some just might have a conscience buried under all that shit.

And then I read comments on other articles and was reminded that one good apple among a barrel full of rotten ones is no good to anyone. Fucking morons.
13
He's going to win.

Place your bets.
14
Apparently HTML tags escape the command of the Supreme Ruler of the Universe.
15
Hey, I thought that close tag issue had been cleaned up...? I guess everybody has just been better about watching that lately.

I wonder if just adding one by itself in my post would fix it...?

As to the Dino Rossi thing, this comes as no surprise to anyone who regularly reads the Stranger, I'm sure. They've done a great job of exposing Dino's slimy maneuvers over the years. Now we can all start our stopwatches for the eventual story about how he's again skirting campaign finance laws through another book deal. Though by the sounds of it, a real estate investment opportunity seems to be his method now.
16
I went to ThreeTimeLoserDino.com and all I got was a twitter status from Dino Rossi that said "Really, this time I might win - if an asteroid hits Senator Patty Murray!"

Looks like Murray really clamped down on immigration:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patty_Murra…

In May 2006, Murray, along with 38 of 44 Senate Democrats, voted in favor of the Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act of 2006 (S. 2611).[14] The bill includes provisions to improve border security, increases fines and other punishments for employers of illegal immigrants, creation of a guest worker program (which includes an almost doubling of the number of H-1B visas,[15] and creates a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants already in the country.[16] The bill, with support from some in the GOP leadership, passed 62-36.

NJ man admits to vomit assault at Phillies game

"Clemmens and his friend were spilling beer, cursing and heckling Vangelo and his daughters from the time they arrived at their seats, according to a statement of facts read in court.

Vangelo's 15-year-old daughter asked the pair to stop the profanity, and Vangelo complained to security that Clemmens' friend was spitting, with some of it hitting his 11-year-old daughter, Doyle said.

After the friend was ejected, Clemmens was sitting alone behind the Vangelos when he answered his cell phone and said, "I need to do what I need to do. I'm going to get sick," the prosecutor said.

Clemmens then put his fingers down his throat and threw up on the father, with some vomit splashing onto Vangelo's younger daughter, Doyle said."

As they say, third time is a charm. Although a bit arrogant and snarky, he'll be a breath of fresh air in the Senate.
20
And if the third time is not the charm, will he finally get the hint that he's a smarmy loser? Probably not - he'll have someone else to blame by then.
21
@19 A breath of fresh air? More like a whiff of cheap cologne worn by a gold tie-wearing huckster. Should he win (and I don't think he will), he'd quickly find that dealmaking in the senate is a far cry from conning gullible people into buying foreclosed properties.

Please wait...
