Or the Israeli government can not give a mass-murderer that killed six humans on the Gaza boat a medal:

2
Ew. My palm stings just from imagining slapping them all.
3
I have no hate for Jews in general, but Israel can join the rest of the middle east in fucking right off until they get over their psychoses.
4
You're not paranoid if you think someone's trying to kill you when they really are.
5
If you have to make a viral video to counter international ridicule, you're probably short on arguments.

Then again, killing 9 people, then joking about it... Wow.
6
feck, i love me some jews, but israel can fucking eat shit these days. same goes for right wing douchebags (and no, not just these israeli assholes)
7
@6 Yeah. There's a lot that I deeply love and respect about the Jewish culture, but right-wing lunacy can ruin everything, I suppose.

Seriously, at this point Israel is slapping its nuts against the bear cage, and isn't realizing the cage is made of balsa wood.

Religion is an excuse for the world's worst.

It's funny like... like... leprosy.

No wait, it's not.

I'll take author Henning Mankells version of events:

over these hateful apartheid-esqe revisionist assholes, any day, thank you.

Having friends back east whose relatives were victims of the Holocaust (and have the numbers tattooed on their arms to prove it), I've always supported the continued existence of the State of Israel.

This latest incident however, has really made me wonder. I realize that Israel has been emboldened by the phony "War On Terror" and is acting on policies that otherwise would have been unthinkable two decades ago. And like the United States, its actions have used up the massive amount of goodwill it once enjoyed.

But in its blind drive to eliminate any perceived threat, it is rapidly creating the same kind of state many of its citizens were once nearly destroyed by: Nazi Germany.

And like Nazi Germany, it seems not to care what the rest of the world thinks--- to the point of creating videos such as these.

@7: Israelis as a whole tend to be great people. It's really a shame that they consistently vote for militaristic, dogmatic assholes.
13
This takes "appalling" to new levels. Wow.
14
All they really need to do is just change their name to Arizona and pretend they're standing up for State's Rights.

Then it will be kosher/halal with everybody.

Just nuke em till they glow - peaceful farmers my ass!!

10: I'll take author Henning Mankells version of events:

-----------------------------
"I think the Israeli military went out to commit murder," [Henning] Mankell said. "If they had wanted to stop us they could have attacked our rudder and propeller, instead they preferred to send masked commando soldiers to attack us. This was Israel's choice to do this.
----------------------
From the Times Online: ...a British passenger who witnessed the deadly pre-dawn encounter in international waters said that some of the more peaceful activists on board had tried to protect captured Israeli soldiers being set upon by a hardcore of passengers, most of them believed to be Turks linked to an Islamic charity accused by Israel of having links to extremists.
----------------------

Mankell wasn't onboard the Mavi Marmara; he was on another ship, the Swedish ship Sofia. The British passenger, however, was so I'll take the version of a person who was actually there to the version of someone who wasn't.

Given the firestorm of international criticism these deaths have created, Hankell's assertion of premeditated murder seems ludicrous to me. What seems far more likely is that the Israeli commandos did not expect the type of resistance they encountered and were forced to take actions to defend themselves and their fellow soldiers. You can argue about the legitimacy of the blockade, or the wisdom of the boarding of the Mavi, but once the soldiers were on that ship and were attacked, you could hardly expect them to not defend themselves when attacked.

"You can argue about the legitimacy of the blockade, or the wisdom of the boarding of the Mavi, but once the soldiers were on that ship and were attacked, you could hardly expect them to not defend themselves when attacked."

and right there is where the defense of the actions on the part of Israelis starts to fall apart, because they were only "attacked" after illegally boarding the vessel, so then the self defense claims are moot, and it seems to me clear, that those actions were misguided at best, if not outright provocative and criminally malicious.

@11

Godwin's dude.

@18: Judah, let it go. It is quite relevant in this case.

One could make a very similar video criticizing Israel for dropping white phosphorous on women and children, or executing an American citizen in international waters. I hate how this debate is constantly a "you're either with us or against us" GWB bullshit. It totally misses the point, I think both sides are total dickholes and neither are making it easier to find a solution that involves peace. Just because I criticize Israel doesn't mean I think Hamas is full of diplomatic flower hippies while they're launching rockets (even just the other day) into Israel. There's been war in the area for over 6000 years, and as an American I feel very responsible for funding the majority of Israel's policies that harm civilians TODAY. I'm sick of it, and I don't give a fuck who's killing who anymore I"M FUCKING SICK OF IT. I've boycotted, and encouraged everyone else boycott everything from that region until you all grow the fuck up. Video's like this are irrelevant because it only displays the message of the extremists who seek to justify the suffering of women and children, which is not the message of real human beings. I don't know what you'd call these people, but whatever they are they're a disgrace to the human race.

@12: Tea baggers as a whole tend to be intelligent people. It's really a shame that they consistently vote for Sarah Palin.

Arizona conservatives as a whole tend to be open-minded people. It's really a shame that they consistently vote for racist assholes.

Who you vote for (in the privacy of a voting booth) shows who you are at a deeper level than what you say within the confines of polite company.

Please wait...
