Aw, you look cute, Dan.
2
Perhaps one of the tech-savvy, at-risk youth decided to spruce up Wikipedia?
3
It is a hawt picture of man in t-shirt. Even though it's STILL wrinkled (the shirt, that is).
4
I thought "How'd that happen?" was reserved for cases when straight men suddenly found themselves in bed with other men and not wikipedia edits?- LP
5
I checked out "naked man" but no joy.
6
A Bangladeshi wikipedian named Tanvir Rahman added the pic a month and a half ago.
7
Well, looking at the Wikipedia history for that page, it happened on April 20 at 7:46 PM, by a user called "Wikitanvir", apparently from Bangladesh. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Wikita…
8
The woman in the t-shirt is Valerie D'Orazio, who was sexually harassed at DC comics while editing a comic book about Rape and then started a blog about sexual harassment in the comics industry.

But you knew that already.

9
Tanvir, you Bangladeshi rascal you!
10
Of all Dan's accomplishments and contributions to society as a whole, it is his picture on Wikipedia under T-shirt that would end up immortalizing him through the distant future... lol.
11
Made my day.
12
I love the generic "Man in T-shirt"!
13
Shouldn't the caption say "Gay man in t-shirt"?

The way it happened is probably that somebody at Wikimedia Commons went to the t-shirt category and scrolled down until they found the first guy in a plain t-shirt. It was done on April 20 by someone from Dhaka, Bangladesh who doesn't seem to know whose pictures he was using.

14
Or the first guy in a plain t-shirt who isn't Ben Affleck, I should say. I wouldn't have used him either.
15
Hey, I've seen that guy around town.
16
At least it's not "Man in grayish button-down shirt"
17
a SEXY man in t-shirt.
18
It is wikipedia after all. Shouldn't someone change it to "Dan Savage invented the T-shirt"?
19
Dan, you really are a good looking man. Far more attractive comparatively than the woman in T shirt.
20
I think you need a T-shirt of you on a T-shirt, on the back it could say,
"But I'm HUGE in Bangladesh..."
21
You know you make it in life when, with Dan Savage personal style, you become a fashion icon. I have flashback of the first time everybody laugh to one of my lame joke, I was feeling on top of the world (or of the food chain)
22
Man, don't just link to a wikipedia page if you want to point out something that's on it. Take a screengrab or link to the specific edit you're referring to because someone will edit it out.
23
If anyone is confused, this is the version of the page Dan is talking about. (The page was recently edited by an anonymous user to remove the pictures on the top of the page).
24
And it's gone...
25
Thank you #23.
26
.....so Andy Warhol was right.....
27
LOL
That page needs a wet tshirt picture...
28
Ha! At least you look pretty.
29

So now the representative of "Man" is a Seattle homosexual who writes a sex column and that of "Woman" is also a very Seattle looking gurl who could possibly kick your face in while whipping up a vanilla latte.

Call NASA...we need to update the plaque...there's a new paradigm in town!

Isn't there such thing as a long-sleeve t-shirt? After reading this article, I just don't know what to think anymore.
31
@30 I don't think the article knows what to think either

the pictures appear back up
32
@20: LOL, I would very much like to see that a reality

@The wikipedia page: Again, just LOL
33
Watch as this gets Yo-Yo all night
34
I made a slight edit to make the caption more apt.
35
I changed the caption to 'Dan in T-Shirt' but the uber-editors at Wikipedia changed it back.
36
I reverted your edit : )
37
ooo i'm an uber editor!
38
REAL über-editors use an umlaut.
39
They do indeed rob! but they also get humour and don't troll the Slog.
40
You could have at least gotten a T-shirt the right size. How else are we gonna see your nips!
41
Wow, an iPhone app and a reference in Wikipedia, all in a couple of weeks. You're a cultural icon!
42
There was a "douche in T-shirt" a second ago, but it's gone now...
43
Dan looks good, but I think Valerie D'Orazio also is a babe. (The "woman in tee shirt".)
44
Dan, you in your sexy white t-shirt are the desktop on my office computer. I work at a United Methodist Church. I know, crazy Christian!
45
You're a manly man, Dan. ;o)
46
Sorry @35; I was referring to the über-troll @37.
47
I also love the "Frankie Say..." T-shirt at the bottom of the article. And just tonight on the TV was a re-run of the Friends episode where Ross puts on that "Frankie say Relax" tight tight T-shirt.

Coincidence? I think not.
48
@46 I was referring to him as well rob.

I got your joke.

Please wait...
