It seems the only hope she won't become a SCJ is if she turns into a bat and flies away.
2
amy, tweens can't vote.

As a strict right-wing constructionist, Kagan will outlaw all copyrights for movies involving tweens, vampires, werewolves, and witches.

Hmm, I'm starting to like this right-of-center appointment by our right-of-center President ...

Glad everyone is having such a fun time. Congress approval rating is what? 20%?
5
Why is it a question? She's clearly team Edward. That's at least third or fourth down on the list of reasons she shouldn't be confirmed but will be.

So there was a joke this weekend on Wait Wait Don't Tell Me wherein a false story about Kagen being a huge Twilight fan was constructed.

I think that's where this is coming from.

After mentioning the Christmas Day bomber, Senator Lindsay Graham asked her where she was on Christmas Day. She asked whether he was referring to the rights of the accused apprehended on American soil, and he said, no where was she on Christmas Day. She had the presence of mind to answer, that like all good Jews, she was in a Chinese restaurant.

The Senate truly is a bad joke.

I hate that our law makers think that this is some kind of joke. Even the Democratic Senators should be grilling her. I wish the American people were smart enough to demand some intellectual seriousness from our leaders.

The correct answer to this question is the French waiter technique: look slightly puzzled for a millisecond, and then keep leaning in for the question as if you haven't heard a sound. Even if it requires five minutes of silence, you will eventually succeed in humiliating the questioner.

You know what, FUCK AMERICA!! If this is the type of questioning that we seriously are asking (in jest or not) for a supreme court justice we deserve to just elect Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck in 2012 and get this all over with.
11
@7 kind of a bizarre question from our Gay Republican Senator from South Carolina, don't you think?
12
Thought I was the only one to imagine that the time has come when a Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck
could get elected.

Please wait...
