Ah, Burning Beast, I miss you already!! (Although these super itchy mosquito bites will serve as souvenirs for a few more days, I fear). Saddest moment was when someone took this sign and threw it into the giant fire. Why burn the most wonderful sign in the world?!?

OK everybody, we know it's fun to play with that "Hipstamatic" app that you got for your iPhone, but enough is enough already. Why does everything need to look like a 40-year-old Polaroid?

Because digital photography is often too "clean" and we want to give it an organic look? Because adding a filter to photos covers up minor focusing errors? Because it's a neat tool? For someone with a vintage photo of Le Petomaine as their avatar, I'm sure you can appreciate "vintage" aesthetic.
