i'm not really sure how a law requiring an employer to check and see if someone is legal to work in the US amounts to racism?

I'm glad to see some sense is coming to the world, where the EU is calling for tough sanctions against Israel for having a secret nuclear weapons industry & owning several of them while not being party to any of the world-wide nuclear weapons treaties.

So you just SAY you're a citizen, you don't have to prove it and you get your permit. But you do have to pay your $5.

Sounds like a $5 tax on renters to bolster the city coffers to me.

The very first sentence on the Fremont, Nebraska Web site says "...Fremont is recognized as a livable and progressive city"!

Sounds like we need to ban cars on 99. Or perhaps institute some sort of "driver's registration" program so these sorts of tragedies don't happen.
