Is it just me or does this seem like a really pointless MMORPG?

That's a lot of exoskeletons, codpieces and giant immobile titties for one trailer.

2. The character seen here is Black Adam. He is the sometimes good, sometimes bad, sometimes middle of the road version of Captain Marvel. He too uses the magic word Shazam but his is based on ancient Egyptian mythos

Just too much crash-bang. But I think that's the point. I do like the CGI and it would make an attractive game. But it's still too cartoony.

OMG THIS LOOKS AWESOME! Also it seems set up for a story... Lex Luthor and various super villainy are successful in taking out the JLA so Braniac swoops in and destroys Earth leaving Luthor the sole survivor. So... he goes back in time and warns the big 3 about what is going to happen and that they have to stop it... obviously there would need to be a shit-ton more for a movie premise but for a video game it's pretty sweet. I also think the grittiness of it makes the heroes look less cartoony.
Honestly though if they bring back the Justice League animated universe I wouldn't care or need a live-action movie.

It's cool but it's hardly movie quality animation or voice acting. I also think video games have a hard time rising to art because not only do they rarely have to invest much in characterization (and rarely do they have consistent characters). "Game play" causes inherent pacing problems for "art." But that's not a say they aren't artistic. To demonstrate a point, Cyborg has no personality. In Deathstroke's hands the golden lasso just ghosts through Batman's arms. And since when does Batman call down artillery? Or Superman laser people in the face?

Any, what's really annoying is that they tell you next to nothing about the game. Yeah, trailers cool, but whats the game play going to be like (besides physics based)? What character options are there? Etc?

The real problem with the game is that you won't be playing anyone in that trailer; you'll be creating, effectively, a sidekick.

@12 - Thats video games for you. VG companies want to delay actual gameplay trailers as long as possible. Game play is one of the FEW things VG "reporters" will actually criticize.

PROBLEMS:
1) You cant hear someone scream on earth from space superman...
2) The flash looks SO BAD, like Cyborg bad.
3) Voice work, they clearly spent the voice budget on batman and company, I wish they had turned to talents like Amy Acker and Nathan Fillion.
4) Says nothing of the way the MMORPG is going to be AT ALL PLAYABLE. All MMORPGs need to be better than WOW, you need to tout that shit.

City of Heroes and Champions Online were fantastic superhero games that could not get people away from WOW. (Well COH was fun but pretty shitty)
