I LOVE THE SLOG!!!!!

Wow, I was wondering what was up with that. Judging by the "people" lumbering around the city today I was thinking maybe the zombie apocalypse had begun... I feel relieved.

If you stare at the sun long enough, it starts to look pink anyway. PROTIP.

I was actually wondering what was going on... Thanks Slog!

I figured it was some wildfire. Though I was hopeing that I'd woken up in that 80's movie, the day of the comet. Unfortunatly all the people were still here and not turned into piles of red sand.

Through the blue part of the top of my window, it was as orange as Michael Kors' skin.

I was wondering what it was, and lo and behold Cliff Mass had already posted the answer. Thanks Cliff Mass. And thank you Slog as well! BC can burn as long as we can keep this eerie glow going.

I wanted to stare at the sun every time I was outside to see if I could figure out what was going on, but then I remembered the movie Pi....

BC wildfires are scary. They have zillions of square miles of dead forest, killed by global warming. The pine borer beetle used to be killed off every winter, but they are just mild enough now that they survive, and multiply. Hence dead forests. You can see them when you drive through them, huge stands of red dead trees among the green, dry as tinder.
