I dunno, I marvel frequently at these sorts of things.. that we know, and that we know about knowing. That we know about *our* knowing. That the Universe is so unimaginably complex, and the world that even just us humans have constructed (edifices of brick and concept) is also, now, unimaginably complex for any one person.
I wish I were in a place to watch the auroras tonight... I'm sure they will be expandingly profound.
It's pretty neat looking outside. Even through Seattle's light pollution I can see vague colorless light washes and sky-filling flashes that look almost like silent lighting. I was just outside watching for about ten minutes and saw eight or so flashes of various intensities and a few 'strobing' events that lasted for a few seconds at a time.
Frankly it's not that impressive looking but getting visual confirmation of this massive solar event is a pretty amazing scientifically abstract pleasure.
