can't tell whether it's crazy or brilliant that the inaugural music genius award goes to a brand new group that's only played a handful of local shows.

Well... since MCD, one might argue that the Stranger gave similar levels of support to Carissa's Wierd in their heydey (and a recent reunion show, right?), and the Exbestfriends, if anyone remembers them...
