After our city and our state goes bankrupt trying to build a Billionaires Tunnel we can't afford, nobody will be able to buy paintings around here, what with the extra $10,000 per household - renter or owner - that we'll all be paying for the inevitable cost overruns.

Ms. Gagnon had apparently been hush-hush about this series for a while, and only recently did my friends and I get to hear about it, but EVEN THEN she didn't tell us what it was about. Whether it's the viaduct or the parking lot outside or even the exposed rafters in her studio, I'm an interested in seeing what this particular artists' eye perceives in her daily surroundings and how she puts that into paint on canvas. A lot of my favorites pieces by artists old and new, famous or reserved, are about their daily 'scene'.
