About time!

2pm on a Thursday? That'll be a nice mix of unemployed folks...

@2 I work FULLTIME graveyard and school doesn't start for a few weeks this is a good time for me. I plan to be there representing the people who work too much and still care about human life crowd, as being unemployed means you can't care for human life anymore? I think people should be there regardless, and westlake, son should be deleted from the internets for having no brain, heart or soul.

@3 Oh get of your goddamn high horse. You really think the middle of the afternoon during the work week is a swell time for a protest?

What @2 said.

Sadly, @2 and @4 are correct.

Methinks they're trying to get news coverage, but if you have it at 5 pm or start at 4:30 pm then you get the 5 and 6 pm news cycles and people can get there when work ends.

Perfect location for the shit birds to stumble on over from 1811 Eastlake, since they certainly won't be working.

I went to the protest Teusday 5;30pm at Boren & Howell. They had a few speakers, but it eventually led to "SOCIALIST REVOLUTION!!!" type speeches. Followed up with political leeches (who didnt speak) handing out flyers to get people to vote for their raving lunatic candidate.

The cops, because they basically murdered Mr Williams for no reason and for that, Mr Williams family demmands justice for this murder, it should be about that and nothing else. The second the speech turns to "SOCIALIST REVOLUTION!", is the second people (who would not normally go to these rallies) lose interest and walk away.

sadly, Kinison, by having it at 2 pm, you'll get a lot more of those types.

We, just slog readers, could bury this good man in the way he, his family and his community deserves. I have had the opportunity to work with some local Native Americans and Alaskan Natives... They have amazed me with the most selfless, genuine, giving and open door care giving that I've ever seen. 12 years of social work giving all I can- I will NEVER have the heart and compassion of this community.
I looked at the sites listed and didn't see info on how to give support for the funeral- please update.

Put it this way, if its something that is important or something you feel to support...you will be there. It really has nothing to do with unemployment. I will be there! There's never cop bashing on my end but in light of the cops here in Seattle; there has to be something amiss with the Police Department. That cannot be denied no matter what you believe.

This is so stupid. The cop had every right to do what he did. Somebody was coming after him with a deadly weapon. That guy got what was coming to him

A man washed up on a desert island after a shipwreck. The only other survivors were a sheep and a sheepdog.

The three of them got into the habit of going down to the beach every evening to watch the sunset.

One particular evening, the sky was a fiery red with beautiful cirrus clouds and the breeze was warm and gentle. It was a perfect night for romance. As they sat there, the sheep started looking better and better to the lonely man. Soon, he leaned over and put his arm around the sheep.

But the sheepdog, ever protective of the sheep, growled fiercely until the man took his arm from around the sheep.

A few weeks passed by and, lo and behold, there was another shipwreck. The only survivor was Nancy Pelosi.

That evening, the man took Nancy to the evening beach ritual. It was another beautiful tropical evening – perfect for romance. Before long the man started to get “those feelings” again.

He fought the urges as long as he could but he finally gave in, moved closer to Nancy and told her he hadn’t had sex for months.

Nancy batted her bushy eyelashes and asked if there was anything she could do to help.

“Yes,” he said, “Take the dog for a walk.”
