I'm glad he announced he fired all 250,000 mercenaries in Iraq and Afghanistan and is bringing all US troops home by Christmas this year.

....

what?

Does anyone else think the "Moving America Forward" on the backdrop looks strikingly similar to the the "Media Matters for America" logo? Coincidence?

He has a beautiful smile, and he makes a beautiful speech, but that's not been the issue recently. I have no intention of voting for anyone but Democrats in November, but it won't be with the same sense of hope that I had in 2008.

I hope you feel better soon, Dan. I'm sick too. It sucks. :(

I live in Btown. Can I bring you some soup?

Hey Canuck - if you think that about Obama, you're not paying attention. He's sticking to his guns and has been remarkably effective, despite the idiotic yapping from Congress.

Did he complain that his daughters are getting the shit bullied out of them for being lesbians, but there's nothing the school board will do to protect them?

@8 Troll, is that you?

Obama is right about the danger of apathy. It's what got this country into the mess it's in, and allowed it to become the country that is of the corporations, by the corporations and for the corporations.

Vote absentee if you can. Google everyone on the ballot. Your vote can does make a difference.

Those on the left that sit on their hands this November are just plain dumb.

During the run up to the election, some wing nuts raised a ruckus by calling Obama the "magic negro". While offensive, the sad truth is many on the left seem to actually see him this way.

Obama has to work within the limitations of our system, and so far, he's done a remarkable job given the stiff resistance from the GOP. He can't wave a magic want and make every lefty's dream come true. It's a long tough battle, and not voting as some kind of "protest" just serves the other side.

@12- The Democrats complete inability to capitalize on a legislative majority is definitely a giant problem.

And so you see, people don't feel very motivated to go and vote for Democratic legislators. I'm going to vote, but it's really clear to me why there's a lot of apathy.

Please wait...
