Not to negate Ro$$i's record as a hateful, lying, sleazy scumbag, but Patty Murray voted for the federal DOMA and has yet to apologize or explain precisely how it defends her marriage.

No, he doesn't like us. But that's just one issue. Another issue is cap and trade legislation that will surely be up for a Senate vote next year. If that passes, we'll all be very poor and our freedoms will be rapidly eroding. It is far more important to stop Obama's destruction of this country and our way of life than it is be a single issue voter.

Oh Raindrop, poor silly deluded Raindrop. How you do prattle on....
4
Catalina @3,

You mean raindrop @2 wasn't being sarcastic?
5
@2 - how am I supposed to trust someone to "protect my way of life" when that person is already committed to destroying it?
6
Also notice that Raindrop's first terrifying fear is "we'll all be very poor" and then s/he worries about our "rights and freedoms."

Obviously Raindrop is a single issue voter too, only s/he's issue is money. "Fuck y'all, I got mine!" Total Mary Cheney syndrome.

@4: I wasn't being sarcastic. Polls show most Americans believe we're going in the wrong direction, and most Americans understand it takes a change Congress to reverse it. Politics is about compromise – indeed, sometimes compromising our own convictions for the greater good. Rossi is just a few degrees more homophobic than Obama or Murray.

@3: Good morning Catalina. I prattle on by keeping myself informed of the facts. You're welcome to follow suit - you'll find it quite liberating actually.
8
@6: I was laid-off and am currently unemployed. So you'll have to do some more constructive thinking in your theorizing.
9
But raindrop, when polls said the country was going in the wrong direction under George W.Bush, he stayed the course. And you liked him for it. When Obama was elected with a mandate for change, you wanted him to hold back from doing all the things he campaigned on.

So it's not really about what the polls say or what leaders were elected to do, is it? It's pretty much either trickle down economics or not trickle down, polls and voters and platforms be damned.

Obama would look darn silly if he took your advice. Any politician would.

@5 - that's like saying that the Pope is only "a few degrees more Catholic" than the Presbyterians. The Dems aren't out to actively harm us, the Republicans seem to think that we should just be happy that the State doesn't execute us like they do in Iran, and that we and our families should just go away (or kill ouselves).

@6 - that doesn't mean you're poor or that money isn't your driving influence.
11
@8: I love how people of your ideological stripe draw no distinctions between "legislation that might prove inconvenient to petroleum interests" and "government plans to impoverish me and steal my freedom." And how you either don't notice or deliberately turn a blind eye to the fact that the petroleum industry writes the talking points you unquestioningly parrot.
12
@10: Of couse money is my driving influence. Same for you and everybody else.
13
@10 - yes, but for me, my self respect and protecting my family take priority. Unlike you, I'm not a single issue voter when it comes to money.
14
I'll bite:

How does a tax on carbon emissions make us poor and erode our freedoms?

Do all taxes make us poor and erode our freedoms, or just this tax?
15
Meanwhile, re Reichert's alleged Brain, have you seen this?

16
Goldy dear, as you become more aquainted with some of us regulars, you will start to understand Raindrop.

And Raundrop, do enlighten us as to how Cap and Trade will make us all poor, with no cutting and pasting.
17
Catalina, you are one of my favorite things about Slog.
18
@15

I notice Politico writes this:

Several posts on TheStranger.com, a blog edited by Seattle liberal activist David Goldstein, fanned the story late last month.

Does that mean we can start asking Goldstein about cock rings and piss drinkers?

(I also noticed that Politico makes no mention of the reports of Reichert's weird on-camera behavior, which I assume are verifiable.)
19
Goldy - in addition to getting a yes or no from Rossi on DADT - as a reporter you need to get a yes or no from Murray on repeal of DOMA. I asked her and she would not give me an answer - very disappointing!
20
I hear, when the Sounders FC was playing against Toronto today, Comrade Rossi was cheering for the Canadian team.

Why?

Because that's how he rolls.
21
Rossi will follow the path of the current Democrat leadership.

How's that working for the LBGT?

Please wait...
