Correction:

police believe the [five] teens were trying to steal more alcohol when they were spotted.

Because if she was driving under the influence, she already had alcohol, right? Let that be a lesson to you, kids: If you're going to steal booze, be sure to steal enough the first time that you don't have to drive back for more.

BACONCAT, that's too funny.

I hope they ban her from getting a drivers license until she's 25. Not that that really means anything these days. They'll drive anyway, just not legally.

@3 - If you outlaw drunken teen driving, only outlaws will drunkenly teen drive.

"whoever thought to teach her underage butt to drive"? it isn't rocket science - clever little monkeys can learn by watching. my neice could drive a golf cart at 9.

Clearly California needs a state-controlled and -managed liquor distribution system. Then this wouldn't have happened.

You're just jealous it wasn't you at 13, Cienna.

@4, too true. This has gotten quite a bit of press here in So Cal. How does it feel to know your 15 minutes are used up at age 13?

@2: I'm still sore in the torso from playing soccer, and you just made me laugh. Thanks, you little fucker.

Yet another example of heterosexuals making horrible parents. This is proof that a child needs two mothers or two fathers - that is the optimum family unit !

Memories.... I remember a Pablo Cruise / Boston concert. I was drinking Bicardi 151. I came to in my car with a 13 year-old girl driving me home. I have no recollection of Boston. Good times!

I remember getting pulled over in my friend's Dad's car with a learners permit and a car full of booze and empty cans coming back to the eastside from the Monastery a 4am Good times! My mom thought I was in bed when the police called. I guess this is why I can never have kids, karma would kill me.

@5: Yeah. It's the "...safely" part that eludes most people.
