I saw the artists installing this along Broadway on Tuesday. I thought it was a little hackneyed.

I thought it was the end of shotgun shells initially.

Why would you put Philips head screws through them, instead of gluing?

I did a similar piece in college titled "I feel rapey!" In glue, cheap table, and lacquer with bottle caps.

It's kind of a profound photo, you can't really see the Slats from the caps. And that makes me a little sad.

Whatev's @1-4. I like it and am glad to see Slats visage on Broadway again. It's a fitting tribute to the man and the legend.

I think the slats bottlecap memorial is rad and 10 times better/not comparable to any frat house bottle memorial their dead frat dog or whatever those losers celebrate.
