I guarantee one thing.

Old retired folks won't be paying a state income tax.

The legislature will never touch them.

1098 is a tax on the Middle Class.

If you want a "real city", increase Property Taxes.

Right . . . if my middle class you mean people who make over 200K a year. Let's at least work with fear tactics based in some form of reality, Supreme Ruler.

#3 Gregoire and the Democrats superceded a popularly elected initiative to limit Government spending and expand the budget.

She and her cohorts are sure to extend the Income Tax to everyone.

1098 is a Gateway Tax (in the same way that Abed called Vaughn a "gateway douchebag").

1098 is a Tax on the Middle Class.

I'm getting a tax CUT, comrade SROTU.

Try another lie.

I understand the necessity of paying taxes, but I also have no faith in our local government. Everyone will pay income tax as soon as they can push it through.

Supreme Ruler: Kind of like how pot is a gateway drug? If you smoke pot, you automatically snort cocaine and shoot heroin?
10
Good thing I only drink alcohol.

.. oh wait, that's the actual gateway drug ...

oops.

Supreme Ruler, my DH brings in 40k a year and I get to be a SAHM mom to our 2yr old; we are making hard decisions about how to spend our limited income - one way we choose to spend our money is on our home that we bought right after house prices dropped! 1098 will cut my taxes, but you suggest increasing my property taxes- who's taxing the middle class now? You're fucking brilliant!

Another thing, I don't really care if in two years I end up paying an income tax too. The last newspaper article I saw said that the the poorest 20% of non-elderly people pay 17% of their income in taxes and the top 1% pay just 2.6% of their income. If I'm already paying 12-17% of my income in taxes, I wouldn't mind paying 6-8% of my income to taxes if it means that the rich have to pay the same percent of their income!

Great article. Thank you. Guys, btw if anyone needs IRS 941 forms you can get it right here: http://goo.gl/sKpMeL This site allows you to fill it out, esign it, and submit it.

Please wait...
