Morons. On the whole, morons.
2
Oh boy, the anti-tax nitwits are winning!

In the battle of ideas, "I want free ice cream!" remains the undisputed champ.
3
I wonder if they'd be for starting a few more wars, too.
4
Let's see, we have a trillion dollar annual federal budget deficit, multi-billion dollar state deficits, the middle class, state and local governments are continuing to implode--including school districts, courts, and sheriffs' departments--while the Richie$ return to Robber Baron levels of extreme wealth. Yippee! Tax cuts for every single one of you krayzee motherfuckers! No one ever has to pay for anything! Yay!
5
There are that many idiots out there who still believe trickle down economics work. That's a goddamn shame.
6
How do you get "for liquor privatization" from "Yes 47, No 49"?

1100's going down hard, which pisses me off. Not as much as the probable failure of 1098, but still.
7
@6: Oops, and thanks much. I've just fixed that.
8
@ 5,

Every time a billionaire pisses all over an underage sex slave's face, it creates 100,000 jobs!11! FREE MARKET FREE MARKET FREE MARKET!11!!!

oh noes!

all the really old people with landlines who don't ignore polls in the middle of the day or use caller id to ignore them are upset!

meanwhile ... in the real world - expect 69 to 70 percent turnout statewide with very high turnout in Seattle.

man u guys panic over nothing - now go vote and stop giving excuses for why it's so hard
10
@6 is correct.

about 1100 that is.

which is super cool, cause now the legislature will have to do it's job and deal with it, cause this issue won't go away.
11
No info on 1105 in that poll, or is it so much less popular than 1100 that it's not worth tracking?
12
@11 yes. kind of sad, actually. even the few people I know who voted yes on 1100 voted no on 1105.
13
(the funny thing is, they actually polled me, cause I remember these questions)
14
I had no idea 52% of Washington's populace earned more than $200,000 annually.
15
Sad, but mostly not surprising.

The biggest surprise to me is the question about extending the Bush tax giveaway to the wealthy. A solid majority want to keep that? Really? *sigh*
16
The poll question with respect to tax cuts for the rich is actually:

"Extending the Bush tax cuts to ONLY those people making LESS than $200,000 income per year" (my emphasis)

So it's actually "Extend the Bush tax cuts for the NON-wealthy" that gets 53% support.
17
@16 if you read the detailed script, they had two different versions of that, to try to grasp how people really felt.

But, yeah, nobody likes the Red Chinese investing Rich who export US jobs overseas. Not even their drivers.
18
Sample size........500? Isnt that a little small for a freakout.

I'm confused by this obsession with cheap plastic shit. We already subsidize the fuck out of the industries, both in water that is stolen from us and the corn, why are people so uptight about waiting to raise taxes on the items? I get the one where they talk about how the poor pay too much in taxes already, but what the fuck is a poor person doing burning their money on water in plastic bottles. If it doesn't flow into their home correctly, it's their human right to have it fixed. You fucking need water dude, the future doesn't involve paying for it and I can't believe anyone with a strait face could honestly believe that the future of the human race lies in taking the cheapest worst plastic known to man and making small individual packets for one time use. FUCK YOU ASSHOLES.
20
P.S. I get why water can't just be "free" I know the water company still charges you, but you could get like 3 of those pallets of water bottles for like a fucking quarter out of your tap. Water that's tested every hour for safety. HOW THE FUCK DO YOU THINK A THIN PLASTIC BOTTLE IS ANY SAFER?
21
A lot of the plastic pellets floating in the Pacific are because we ship the plastic pellets to China. The floating thongs are from the return trip.

Please wait...
