Karma baby, karma! Congrats you guys!
2
And you should know that in Canada, lottery winnings are tax-free, so it really is $50 million. Congrats to them.
3
I love it, I love it, Ah luhve it!!!!!!!!!!

*cue Molly Shannon kick*
4
Two older fellows with tons of money, huh? I think I'll get Mr. Poe on the case immediately...
6
Dan, did you see the Broadway IGBP video? Chris Sieber is in it. Nathan Lane too and it's fabulous.

It makes me so damn angry though that there are that many fucking bullies out there! Jesus, you miserable pricks, you pus boils on the ass of humanity, probably living in your double wide collecting welfare. All a waste of sperm.

Gee, did that sound bitter? TOO BAD ASSHOLES!
7
"On Monday, I had no time to claim my $50M winnings." I think they're still in shock.
8
@5- at 22 and 33 when they met, they were only 3 years off the mark. Gotta give 'em a break from the rule. Otherwise, I agree completely...
9
wow. that's awesome. I bet if they lived in the US, democrats would come calling begging for cash.
10
And since they're Canadian, they don't have to worry about a Clay Greene/Harold Scull scenario.
11
Well Phelps and crew are literalists, so they could spin this as now that they're rich they'll have an even tougher time getting into heaven. Also winning the lotto often times turns out to be a curse on people's lives more than a blessing.
12
And they're churchgoing too. Maybe now they can tie the knot in high style.
13
@7 - I know, right? What the heck is on the to-do list above "claim $50 million lottery winnings"?
14
It Got Better yesterday, Dan.
Don't you think?.....
15
I had to laugh at the "Sunday was church" comment, too. Hope that exploded a few wingnut heads...
16
I wish them joy.
17
30 years together and no vacation together. Goddamn that's depressing. I wish them all the best!
18
"..they'll spend conservatively and try to live off the interest of their investments." Try? Rule of thumb: $40K /million/year in income. Given the frugal habits developed over 30 years, I think an income of $2M/year is adequate.

God bless 'em.
19
I can see it now: "Focus on the Family Action Alert: Foreign Homosexuals Receive Massive Government Bailout".
20
Do they need anyone to "carry their bags" while galivanting across the continent?
21
Oh come on, that's an easy one. Everyone knows that gambling (like every other fun thing) is a tool of the devil. Enriching middle-aged Canadian homosexuals is just part of his master plan to bring about Armageddon.
22
@21 Ah yes, gambling is a sin! I forgot that one. I'd wager Phelps, like Flanders, doesn't even have home insurance because of that.
23
In the media here in canada they don't even call them a gay couple, they just call them a couple. Makes me smile.
24
There IS justice in the world!

God Bless, Kurt & Claude!!
25
@23 CTV is Canadian.
26
@23 Yay Canada, indeed! Also, In Canada, you don't pay income tax on your lottery winnings...
27
@26: That's because the lottery is a crown corporation anyway. The government is paying *you*!
28
"Sunday is church and Monday I had no time." Squeeee! Too cute to live.
29
God Loves Fags!

Please wait...
