I've never heard anyone talk to anyone else in a comic shop, nor have I ever heard comic nerds get this enthusiastic about anything they read -- it's all nervous, ashamed shuffling, avoiding of eye contact, like a porn shop...

What comic shop do you go to? Your experience sounds backwards. Most comic geeks I know are the social, boisterous and outgoing variety.

The address on that domain is in Overlake. A block from a comic book store I go to regularly. If something I say there ends up on that site...

I'm not sure if it's still up, but Acts of Gord is a similar site that chronicles stupid people in a video game store.

@3, okay, granted I haven't been in a comic shop in three years, but, off the top of my head, Newbury Comics, Million Year Picnic, That's Entertainment, New England Comics, Golden Age Collectables, Zanadu comicsand Corner Comics, plus many many others across the Northwest and New England that have gone out of business over the last 30 years.

I met every one of those people when I worked at a comic store.
