Nice one, thanks. Excellent read.

Good fucking GOD!! Can we stop talking about this fucking war criminal already?? Especially about a book that he didn't even write and probably couldn't read if he tried.

Seriously, people are sick of this drunken asswipe and it's bad enough we have to suffer through the nightmare he left us but even more coverage of him!!??? I mean REALLY???

How's this, we can talk about him (and Cheney) after either of them is dead and/or sitting in a prison cell. And we know the later of those two isn't going to happen since we are "moving forward"!!!

they've built this child a library.

@2 Yup, & not talking about this war criminal is the surest way to get him behind bars, too.

I first read "piece in the Independent" as "piece in the Impeachment"

Well there is always the Hague for War Crimes.
6
Who's "we", Kemosabe?
7
@5 Indeed, just like we could prosecute him here for violating the Geneva Convention's prohibition on torture, but laws are just empty words unless someone has the courage to enforce them. And just like us, Europe has shown little willingness to step up to the plate.

Mr. Norman owes bison everywhere a letter of apology.

@4, how's that talking about it getting him behind bars again? Is it working out for ya? Yeah, that's what I thought....

@9 Political movements start small and then grow, that's how they work. Just because you don't get quick results doesn't mean you give up on a worthy cause. And holding our elected leaders responsible for committing war crimes is a pretty fucking worthy cause in my book.

Masterful slam of shrub's (lack of) character. Too bad he's too dumb to understand it.

Speaking of understanding - why DO the R's insist on putting such incredibly stupid people in office? Bush and Palin are fucking idiots, not even in touch with reality. Jan Brewer and Gary Herbert are both dumber than stumps (sorry trees), yet they are now officially elected governors of AZ and UT (the smart R governor there had the good sense to accept an ambassadorship from Obama). Both state legislatures there are made up primarily of really stupid, hate-filled, narrow-minded r-people (Russel Pearce, Mike Noel, Chris Buttars, just to start), all of whom decry those with master's degrees or higher as "elite liberals", meanwhile making drastic cuts to both K-12 and higher ed budgets. AZ even elected a carpet-bagging QUAYLE to the House - son of the one who couldn't even discern real life from TV characters. What gives? Why don't they want people in office who are smarter than the general republican populace?

You were right about the british accent. I imagined it all being said by Judy Dench.

Please wait...
