My wife absolutely loves her's. I think she might divorce me and marry it.

Did you figure out what the belt loop thingie is for?

Remember that time our species went to the Moon? That was awesome.

This is what I think is cool - you can turn it into an Android tablet - http://lifehacker.com/5701899/root-your-… not that I'd have the tech ability to do that, of course.

I got my girlfriend the original Nook for her birthday in August. She loved it so much I got her the Nook color for an early Christmas present just before Thanksgiving. Now I've got the old one and we can both read in bed. You can have up to 6 devices on one account, so I can read all of the books she has already purchased. Plus you can read online if you want. They are really great, I highly recommend them!

Nooky (nookie?) beats NookColor hands down, any day.

Thanks for the link, Paul, glad you liked the review. I'm excited to see what'll happen when the app store and the firmware update come out. If B&N make some good decisions with this thing, it could be a superb device.

And the best part about buying the thing from a brick and morter store like B&N is if there is a problem with it, YOU CAN TAKE IT THERE AND GET THEM TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO FIX IT. Seriously. You can. Since it is an electronic device and half the world is clueless about such things, it is great to know that Grandma can go there when she can't figure out how to change the font size...and a lot of the stores have weekend classes for such clueless folk, too. Now, when my mother nags me cause she can't figure something out, I'll tell her since she has nothing but free time (and I work 2 jobs) she can go to the store and get them to help her. Drive up, park at the door, walk in and someone will help you. Thank goodness!

Please wait...
