Never been any doubt in my mind that the Chihuly proposal was going to be chosen. Even if it doesn't bring in the money that its backers say it will, it undoubtedly will bring in more more than any of the other proposals and money seems to be the driving force behind the decision. I'd prefer open space, and the destruction of the hideous (typical of Seattle) Arcade pavilion, but open space isn't going to bring in the bucks that Seattle Center wants and (apparently) needs.
