Oh yeah, that looks like it's sure to have a calming effect on your cat. Jesus christ. My cat doesn't have front claws (don't start, he was already mutilated when I adopted him) and never bites, but I imagine the kitty gimp mask would be met with more resistance than I could possibly prepare for...

Fuck cats, they need to start making them for pit bulls.

I can't think of a better way to get the you-know-what scratched out of you than to try and put this thing on a cat. It was obviously conceived by someone who does not know the slightest thing about feline behavior.

My Mrs. and I have seriously considered this for our female cat. The three boys growl a bit when the thermometer goes up their rear, but the girl turns into a hissing, snarling, scratching, biting demon the instant she sees the examination table. We ended up having some good results by putting on a cone collar and giving her a kitty valium half an hour before her annual checkup. Then she falls down a lot for the rest of the day.

Bring out the cat.
I think the cat's sleeping.
Well, duh! It's not like he doesn't sleep like twenty horus a day or more.
7
Yeah, cats are totally going to be cool with putting that over their heads.
8
Either that picture has been Photoshopped all to hell, or that cat is deformed.

@8: It might be Chester Cheetah.

A cat muzzle isn't like a dog muzzle. It's only to be used for grooming and vet examinations. My late kitty developed the crazies in mid-life and nearly took a chunk out of his old vet. The new vet introduced a red face mask/muzzle with nose holes for breathing, which on my big ginger kitty looked absolutely adorable and allowed for the vet to tend to him without being bitten. Covering the eyes really does seem to calm (or possibly disorient) the cat because it reduces anxiety-causing stimuli, and the cat does become more pliant.

And the colour ones with nose holes make your cat look like a little Mexican wrestler, which is hilarious and reason enough on its own to use them.

So does it keep the puke in?
12
Is your cat making too much noise?
Then you need Kitten Mittens™!!
13
In my experience, a cat with something over its eyes tends to thrash around violently trying to get it off.
Also, if you can't deal with a few cat bites, you're either a hemophiliac or a huge pussy (no pun intended).

I will echo #13; a cat with an obstruction over its eyes will have the sensation that, in darkness, it is face-first into a corner, and it will back up confusedly to alleviate such a sensation. Inevitably, as that fails to alleviate the issue, the cat will toss its head about back and forth, clawing at the obstruction, attempting to remove it.

@2 Mine too

@13 ditto

Any vet worth their salt should be able to wrap a cat securely in a blanket.
17
Show me the person who bought this.

And I'll show you someone who needs to be punched in the face.

Oh my god. I am most literally laughing out loud and have tears of mirth rolling down my cheek. My cat just got off my lap (in protest, I think).... ow, wait, the little fucker's trying to bite me... Where can I buy one of those again?
19
stupid...

Please wait...
