It puzzled me when this first all came out that the rest of the Madoff family didn't give up a large part of their fortune to those who those money to Bernie. I was so surprised that his wife just wouldn't budge. It was as if they truly believed (a) they earned it and (b) it is theirs to keep. It's practically blood money as it was many other people's blood, sweat and tears of hard work.

But what goes around, comes around. And the Madoffs -one of them trying to change the last names of the grandchildren, the son killing himself and Bernie in jail for several lifetimes - seem to not understand that there really is karma in the world.

That said, two children have lost a father and that is sad.
