That particular van must have the West Coast route, driving from Imperial Beach to Blaine at 3mph. There's probably a couple of 13 year-olds back there that miss their parents very much right now.
Again: I love the irony in that the Stranger is rallying against an organization that distributes tons and tons of unwanted, ad-supported paper all over the city.
@7 - The Stranger only drops off in locations it's been permitted to, and they pick up unused issues. If the phone company came back a week later and removed their unclaimed books from porches and building lobbies, I don't think as many folks would take umbrage with their practices.
@7, again: Learn what irony means. The Stranger doesn't dump its unwanted paper on my doorstep. I only get it if I actively go out and grab one. There are no unwanted Strangers piling up in people's cabinets.
Ah, California-phobia. Only in the Northwest, so tolerant and polite, would sentiments more worthy of backwoods Alabama be seen as things you have to, you know, think about and really consider, as opposed to things that should prompt an (internal, but maybe not) statement of "Fuck off, hick"
eli, do you boycott california and never go? if so, then hate away!
I'm not bitching about this yet. Anything that blocks the bike lane for the fucking crybaby cyclists is also a plus.
