And while I appreciate your intentions in linking to Indie Bound, it's irritating as fuck to not have any idea how much the book costs, and to have to click through a series of screens in order to get an idea. Yes, yes, yes! This is precisely the secret that has been known to us poor, mad classics geeks for centuries, even as interest in our rather arcane knowledge has receded.

Incidentally, if you're looking for the right gift for someone who actually has their Latin and Greek, I suggest one of my favorite gifts this year, a reprint of the 1909 edition of Platt's "Byways in the Classics including Alia". Such a wonderful book to browse through, steeped in classical scholarship and so very thoroughly English.
