There are jobs up in Canada.

Unlike the US, they actually have a free press and required equal time rules.

Plus, they like people with Masters or Doctorates.

@6: That Pulitzer Prize was well deserved and the Times staff did a great job covering that story. But it was for a single event and not a great indicator of their reporting as a whole.
