To make matters worse, the quality of journalism and reporting at The Seattle Times is poorer now that they have no competition.

There are jobs up in Canada.

Unlike the US, they actually have a free press and required equal time rules.

Plus, they like people with Masters or Doctorates.

@6: That Pulitzer Prize was well deserved and the Times staff did a great job covering that story. But it was for a single event and not a great indicator of their reporting as a whole.
