good for him. he should protect his idea against derivative design stores posing as galleries. not saying his ideas are deserving of their economic position, but it is the status that is the art. if a store was selling reproductions of a local seattle artist without permission then i think you all you'd be howling in the other direction. i remember the ax coming down hard on anthropology for using an artists idea in their displays. if you haven't been to park life, you don't know what you are talking about. they are in business to sell just like koons and should be held responsible for stealing someone else's idea rather than be celebrated just b/c everyone hates koons.
