They are all negligent if they don't squeeze the state hard for transit money. These fools need to realize their duty (and ability to be re-elected) is to SEATTLE first and the state second.
2
Here's a news flash for City Council - only Seattle VOTERS will vote for you when you're up for election.

And they are not happy. Man up.
3
Do you think the consistent anti-police rhetoric of the Stranger contributed to the left wing police assassinations in Seattle and Wadhington State last year?
4
I'm sure the council would do this, if O'Brien ever had the power to persuade them he was on to something more than a personal base-riling system.
5
The state WANTS downtown Seattle to be a gridlocked mess. Then, nobody will try to avoid the tunnel tolls. Isn't that fucking obvious by now?
6
The Stranger's News Team gets scooped?

NO WAY!

I want to know what the City Council's and Mayor's plan to move people and goods around this region during the construction of the tunnel. Also, what if the Viaduct came down now, how would people move around.

The voters have spoken and they want the city to move on with this frickin project. Dominic, please work with your mayor to create better transportation in the City. Bars opened all night should come after we have better transportation (more multi billion dollar light rails are not the answer).

@3 most of that preceded that.

Higher correlation value with Faux News attempts to get Tea Baggers to shoot people in authority, actually.
9
@7 most of them would continue to use cars, actually.

There might be a slight uptick in cyclists and walkers, but since transit would be stuck in traffic with the cars, not much would change.
10
@7 - The voters actually HAVE spoken, and 70% of them said no.

Dominic either you're not from here (I know for fact Will is a transplant) or you're very young.

Do a little research. Back in the 70's a group of people tried to nullify the expansion of I-90 via city initiative. They had gathered enough signatures but the initiative was not brought to ballot because the courts ruled it outside the city's jurisdiction.
12
Make it easy for the legislature to balance the budget. Tell them to keep their tunnel money.

It takes nuts to squeeze nuts, and there are no nuts on the council... err... except maybe a set in one's night stand, but that's for pleasure only.

Please wait...
