Second, I want to like Captain America. He was one of my favorite comics as a kid. And Chris Evans seems suitable enough, he has the right build for the role. But... I really hate that costume. It's the helmet. I can live with the distressed outfit, but the helmet looks ridiculous. It may be vaguely authentic to the recent comics, but it still looks stupid on an actual real live person.

I keep reading this as "Garfield as Spiderman." I was excited for a second.

@8 Captain America rides a motorcycle. I imagine there is more than one costume as a portion of this movie will take place in WWII. This looks to me like the WWII era costume. Perhaps the modern era costume will be different.

Not a fair comparison as Cap is a set photo in daylight and Spidey is photoshopped and lighted.

I'm on board with both, especially with their costume designs. I've never cared for the old Captain America getup, but I really like the new "old" style that they're using nowadays (as I understand, anyway). Gotta agree with Ronald @14, tho.
