So it turned out the Arizona shooter was an atheist.
Just like you, Dan.
And very critical of religion.
Just like Dan.
He is a registered Independent who did not vote in 2010.
And he does not watch Fox News or listen to talk radio.
Slag/Danny spent days pissing themselves into a rabid lather blaming the shootings on Palin/Beck/GOP/etc.
We must have missed the post where it was all retracted.
Where Danny said "sorry I am a hysterical bigoted little pussy and I got it all WRONG but that didn't keep me from shooting my mouth off....."
So Fox News and other conservative businesses were destroyed by riots? And conservatives' properties and churches are being destroyed? And their families are being rounded up and massacred?
Wow. I haven't heard about any such widespread destruction and death. I guess the lame stream media is truly evil for not reporting such atrocities. And good for conservatives, being able to broadcast and editorialize while facing such abuses.
I love how historical terms that have long ago entered the common vernacular are now verboten because some conservative shits have thrown them around haphazardly.
Suddenly "blood libel" and "program" are the Jewish equivalent of nigger. I guess I missed the memo.
Or are we just changing the focus of the attack since the stranger Staff clearly jumped the gun when they identified the Tuscon shooter as a brainwashed right wing fanatic?
I'm just gonna assume @8 meant "pogrom" and isn't an illiterate. Since when is that part of the common vernacular? For that matter, since when has "blood libel" been part of the common vernacular?
They are specific terms that mean specific things. When these people use them, they are comparing GETTING THEIR FEELINGS HURT to people being herded into ghettos and exterminated. And that tells us a little something about who they are - people who have never had to face up to a genuine fucking hardship.
@8- "Blood Libel" refers to a specific thing, a thing which resulted in thousands and thousands of deaths. For Palin to compare herself to a persecuted minority IS insulting to everyone who knows history.
I'd agree with the proposition that this country has a Conservative Problem, but not in that sense... The Final Solution should involve education, not genocide.
Pogrom is more correct, though still insane hyperbole, as it's used for all sorts of ethnocide (though still generally identified with Jews; what the fuck is with these people and their use of rhetoric relating to anti-Semitism?), and White middle-to-upper-class Christian Conservatives constitute an ethnic group. I don't think anyone is trying to murder them all though.
The message just isn't getting through, obviously. I'm starting to think none of these people have a strong command of American English (which wouldn't actually be that surprising, given their disdain for schools and books). Claiming that pointing out lies, unjustified hyperbole, and hypocrisy constitutes a concerted effort to murder conservative thinkers takes the victimization complex to a whole new level.
The "blood libel" thing is patently absurd - it refers, specifically and only, to the charge that certain religious groups (and only Jews in this day and age) use the blood of children (of other religions) in certain rites. There existed no other usage of the term, until now.
@25: Which brings me to one of my favorite House lines ever:
Moriarty: "I don't care about semantics."
House: "You anti-semantic bastard!"

Don't you think Atheists Spoil EVERYTHING, Danny?

@8 Really? I guess you missed more than the memo. I don't think anyone is balking at the use of the word "program". lol
(@11 FTW)
She does sound pretty off uttering polysyllables.

@24 Anti-semantic
I'll bet it has happened already somewhere.
