No Councilmembers or the Mayor came out today because it was clear that things had the potential to get out of hand--that was evident from McGinn's press thing today.

Bruce Harrell met with the marchers a few months back though and was the only one on the council to do that.

I guess the way to get justice is to make everyone who moderately agrees with you to think you're crazy?

Can we unring the bell that got Satterberg elected?

He would be qualified for a job in Oklahoma, representing the dung-slinging Okies that stole our Sonics. Or something like that.

@8, correct, he should head to Oklahoma City, they will need extra cops for crowd & traffic control when the Mariners and Seahawks move there (hopefully soon)

Officer Birk is an asshole, drunk on power, who should have faced criminal charges.

That said, the mob's idea of justice is never pretty, and shows exactly WHY cops oh so often become said assholes; because they start out as people.

uh, I don't know what this dude was doing there but he wasn't on our side.
He is a Marine Corps major names saunderson and has spent the last 25 years in the mid-east, SE Asia and Central America. Hes headed S&D teams as well as helped disappear several civilian targets.

I know he because I served under him.

If he has shrapnel scars on his back and face and a bullet scar on his shoulder then it positively IDs him.

Can you show us some sort of reference backing that up? It seems like he was there in solidarity with a sign, he didn't do anything subversive.
