Must be a cultural thing. I think Japanese men are pretty close to dey mamas. Is this like an everyday thing?

I remember reading Vanessa Redgrave's autobiography and in it she said that when her BF, Franco Nero, was first presented with their baby boy, he kissed the baby's balls. Maybe in celebration of the continuing bloodline? Yeah, that's strange, but not quite as strange as playing with your kid's pecker.

I've enjoyed many wonderful Japanese films (the most recent one was Departures), but I guess when it comes to this, I'm a prisoner of Western imperialism.

Back in those days in the Far East, people may view that as a playful gesture, like tickling on the side of the belly or underarm or lip-biting on the neck. Today, here in western world, like the U.S. for example, people might view that as perversion. I agree on Irena's comment cause people still film their baby breastfeeding, upload it on YouTube and no one said a darn thing on how wrong it is then saying, ' Awwwww....'.
