We can only hope, Paul, we can only hope that he goes away, but I'm not holding my breath. You can tell he thinks the general public are morons. As if his numerous offenses aren't bad enough, I'd like to point out that "I am Number Four" is currently marketed in bookstores with two separate dust covers, the orginal and the movie promo covers. That's twice as many books to display that are taking up space from legit writers. It makes me grind my back molars in frustration.

Yeah, when he wrote a fake memoir about addiction in which he suggested that he kicked his own by a combination of manly willfullness and being cooler than all those pussies who can't quit on their own, I figured he was just a garden-variety asshole with some writing talent.

When I read about his latest project, I realized, no, this is a special talent in the world of assholery, with both an innate gift for it and an apparent ambition to take his place among the world's most loathesome. I was truly impressed.

It's too bad that the best movie title to come along in years is attached to this dud.
